butter sauce for pasta

my DS absolutely loves pasta with butter sauce in Carluccios and I'd love to make him the same at home. Does anybody know the secret? Just melted buter anyhow doesn't work for him.

Usually in Italy it's butter with sage. It's very easy - just melt some butter in a little pan and gently fry a sage leaf or 2 in it for a few minutes. Take the pan off the heat before the butter burns and leave to stand for a few mins to lets the flavours infuse. Pour over pasta and added grated Parmesan to taste.

It sounds divine! Thank you so much, Brangelina. I'll try it and see whether my DS likes it.

Might be an idea to fish the sage leaves out before giving it to him, just in case he's a fussy type.

It's called "burro e salvia" if that rings any bells.

oh, he is very fussy. Thank you.
