smoked gammon joint - what do i do with it?

I got given a smoked gammon joint (early xmas present lol) and I would like to do a sunday dinner-type meal with it if poss, as I haven't got anything else for sunday. Any ideas?

Now, I like it on a roll with chutney and sliced cheese (for DH and the girls) for a quick lunch.

Yep, delish with cauli and cheese/white sauce, sanwiches, and you absolutely MUST make lentil or pea soup with it too. [drool]

So I can cook a smoked joint in the same way as a normal one? I fancy the cheese sauce idea, but ds1 won't eat cheese so it'll have to be white sauce, roast spuds, yorkshhires (i'd be lynched otherwise) and veg.And I absolutely will be making lentil soup, even if I'm the only one eating it...
