anyone got a nice easy recipe, preferably one that does not involve cream?

Okay tis boring but since noone else has.

1 onion
1 carrot
1 can of tomatoes
1 chicken stock cube
Tomato puree
Dash or worcester sauce
Feel free to ad mixed herbs etc

Brown chicken [or chicken bits to seal]
Put everything in casserole dish
Cook @ 180c

Serve with vegetable and mashed potatoes.

Told you it was very boring but it's nice.

Mine is:

Brown chicken pieces in large casserole dish on the hob. Chuck in chopped veggies (I ususally do onions, leeks, carrots etc), then a big handful of pearl barley and about a pint and a half of chicken stock. Cook in the oven slowly for about 2 hours and chicken will fall off the bone. Gorgeous.
