Your best nibbles, Dips & Pate recipes needed over here please...

I've got lots of people coming over on Saturday night. Haven't really thought about it till now, and realise I haven't got enough inspiration to feed them all nibbles.

So, a festive plea for your all time dependable recipes please. So far I'm thinking

little sausages with honey and mustard
Smoked mackerel dip
Blue cheese dip

Any more? Purlease?

Smoked Salmon Pate

Gorgeous and easy

300g smoked salmon
125g unsalted butter
1 small onion, finely chop (i normally leave out)
2 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp french mustard
2 tbsp cream
1/4 tsp tabasco
1 tsp drained capers

process all ingredients until smooth, scrape down bowl where required.
Spoon mixture into serving dish. Smooth the top, refridgerate several hours or overnight until firm.

Serves 4-6

ooh thanks. this is just what i was looking for and I can do it on Friday which is gooood.

I went to a party recently that simply did a block of philly cheese surrounded by a pool of sweet chilli dipping sauce. It was delish! Mango chutney and soured cream is quick and easy too.

Tzatziki is easy,

Just a pot of natural yoghurt, finely chopped cucumber and a spoonful of mint sauce. Sounds horrid but is really nice with spicy Doritos or warmed pitta brea strips.
