Can you freeze an unopened tub?

I'm American, so I'm assuming Philly cheese is cream cheese. Pretty much no, unless you're going to use it in some sort of recipe that isn't a cheesecake, or don't mind eating strange textures. It gets really watery and kind of curdles when it is frozen, and doesn't come out with a good texture at all.

I would say no. Did you get one of those 2 for 1 deals! DS We eat loads of Philly when that happens

Cream cheese freezes well. Do not try to freeze low-fat soft cheese with less than 40% fat content - they will beome grainy on thawing.

Freeze for 3 months, unopened in its container.

Thaw overnight in the fridge and serve.

Ooh really? Excellent, I shall stock up next time Waitrose do their deal!

I am the freezing queen as well as the baking one!
