I have got myself in to a flap - I was going to make ginger biscuits but not everyone likes ginger etc etc and now I can't decide what to make as a thank you for the nursery. Does anyone have any lovely ideas? I also want to take some to an elderly gentleman who has invited us round for a christmas drink...

either biscuits or sweets??

Fudge is very easy to make

or coconut ice

or little filled chocolates (just buy some little foil chocolate cases, melt chocolate over water, pain the inside of each case with the cocolate to about 2mm thickness, then cool, fill with whatever fondant/whatever you like (I like to use a maraschino cherry or some peppermint cream) and the add more chocolate to cover)

in fact peppermint creams are also really easy, you can make a mixture of white, green and pink, they look really beautiful

little flapjack squares, maybe with some dried cranberries and dark chocolate chips in?

oooh fudge - that's a good idea! I personally love coconut but I know lots of people who don't though.
