Is there one where you can just throw a few bits and bobs into a pan??

there was one is sunday mail supplement last weekend:-

simmer a bottle red wine (or two) very gently for half an hour with orange zest, a few cloves, a splash of rum and a cinnamon stick. strain and serve warm.

Schwartz spice people do a kind of mulled wine tea-bag you just chuck in the warming red wine

Open bottles of M&S mulled wine, pop into a saucepan on a low heat, chuck in some slices of orange, and you're done....

Culpepper used to do the mulled wine "teabags" too

bot red wine
carton orange juice
cinnamon, any other spices you have to hand
few slice of orange/apple if you really want to
brown sugar to taste

(it depends on the wine but if you're mulling cheap plonk to use it up you need the orange jiuce to make it palatable)

I always add a small(ish) glass of brandy and a little bit of brown sugar.
