ds is 9 months and has had a bit of a bug, which has turned into a bad cold. yesterday he had his normal milk and solids, but smaller amounts, at the usual times, then at 7pm he refused to drink any of his bottle. this also happened the previous night, and he woke at 3 am hungry. last night went to tuck him in at about 11pm, was fast asleep, and must of disturbed him, as he then woke 10 mins later, so i offered him milk and he drank 4oz very quickly. then woke at 6.30am and had his morning bottle as usual. should i skip his teatime solids if it is completely putting him off his last bottle?? any thoughts?

Maybe go with the flow while ds still poorly. if he doesn't take bedtime bottle - give him a dream feed before you go to bed yourself. and reassess when he's fighting fit again.

Maybe by the time its bedtime he's tired and fedup with trying to feed with a blocked up nose. You could try adding extra milk to his solids to get some into him that way. Or try clearing his nose before offering the bedtime bottle. Other than this and Tracy's suggestion just think you will have to wait it out until he gets better.

thanks guys; did use some saline drops last night after his bath before his feed at 7pm, but he just wasn't interested. even though his nose was stuffy, when we fed him at nearly midnight he took it ok then. so just wondering whether tonight it would be best to leave his tea to make sure he's hungry enough for bottle, or whether to give him some tea as normal?
