Christmassy cut-out cookie recipe please

I was hoping someone would have a lovely biscuit recipe they'd like to share...
I usually make Nigella's but I'd like something a bit more festive. Maybe I should just add some mixed spice to the recipe?

I added ginger to the (not so basic) Delian one on delia on line. They're not going to get eaten, so I left out some of the ingredients.

I did get a 'kit' a couple of weeks ago, though, basically for the Christmas tree cutter. You put them in for 4 mins, take them out, make a hole for the ribbon with a straw, add the boiled sweets in the stamped out hole and take them out when the hole's filled with the molten sweet.

Didn't have time to do them last night (dds and friends too busy putting make-up on H and I) so I'll let you know how we get on this morning!!!
