I invented mine so it's child friendly and maybe not to everyones taste.

Brown the sausages in heavy pan, then cut (easier to cut them when cooked). Remove from pan. Cook onions and carrots in pan. Add suasages, tin of chopped toms, tin of baked beans, tin of stock ( I make the stock in the empty bean tin) Splash of Worcester sauce. Simmer for 30 - 40 mins. Done

Easy, kid friendly, cheap....

Dice onion an d fry in oil.Chop sausages into inch-long pieces, add to pan and brown.Tin of chopped toms, handful frozen sweetcorn, half tin baked beans, good squirt brown sauce, teaspoon of mixed herbs.Stir well, bring to boil and simmer for 30 ish mins, (do mine in slow-cooker) till saus are soft.

serve with mash or jacket pots, chips or over pasta. Not a posh one but very tasty!

Cook sausages first. Remove from saucepan. Fry off onions, carrots and any other veg you have and may like to add (courgettes, red peppers, leeks, cauliflower, broccoli are all good). Add tin of chopped tomatoes, some herbs (herbes de provence are good, otherwise parsley and oregano are my faves) and a couple of handfuls of red split lentils. Add some Worcestershire sauce. Add the sausages back in.

Add enough water or vegetable stock to cover everything. Bring to the boil, then lower heat, cover and simmer until the lentils and veg are cooked. Stir occasionally.

It's also nice if you add some chard or spinach near the end of cooking.
