Teatime Dilemma.Why Veggie?

Hi just need a bit of advice I have been following Gina Ford weaning plan now since my ds was 5mths and found it excellent but now my stumbling block is that although GF states they should not have protein at teatime she never seems to mention why not and then goes on to say that at 12 months baby should be eating the same as all the family.Well we certainly don't eat veggie at teatime,more Spag bol,chicken or similiar so I just wondered if anyone else could say what they give their children for tea as DS does have good lunch at lunch time.All very confusing methinks!!
So the question I have is what do I give DS now he is 12mths for tea and w

If your ds is 12 months then he can eat what you do, as long as its low salt. I thought that protein could normally be introduced at about 6 /7 months, so by now shouldn't be a problem.

hi bumpsy, my dd was also a GF baby although apart from following her recipes and initial weaning advice I pretty much ignored what she said including the bit about protein! As long as your ds is eating well then i would not worry too much.
