A christmas favourite in my house - has anyone seen them in the shops (a kind of madeira base with a thick layer of chocolate on top and marzipan fruits) - bit like a giant cup cake

first I've heard of 'em.
Sounded ok till you mentioned the marzipan fruits.

MerryAnnSinglemas · 28/11/2007 17:49

tunis cake? I LOVE tunis cake but you can never find it and no bugger ever knows what it is when you ask.

MerryAnnSinglemas · 01/12/2007 15:43

I will investigate Sainsbury's

Just checked Tesco website and they have them for £4.99. Go to groceries and put tunis in the search - can't see a picture of it though.

I've totally forgotten about tunis cake.

My mum used to buy one every Christmas too.
I haven't seen one for years-do you think the Noughties eqivalent is pannetone?

Did you manage to track one down?
