Slow Cooking & Potatoes

Quick query: if I wanted to put potatoes in with a casserole I'm doing in the slow cooker - how long before the end do I add them?

At the beginning - they take ages, longer than the meat normally.

I put them in at the begining too, but i don't part boil them or anything.
Aren't slow-cookers great? I couldn't live without mine!

At the beginning on the bottom with the carrots.
