I keep reading thread titles about Mars' Lemon Drizzle Cake..

tell me, would it be simple enough for a complete cake no-mark to make? and suitable as donation to Christmas Bizarre?

I do loathe being asked to bake stuff.. just not enough hours in the day and I do feel I asolutely must turn up with the best piece of cakery you could imagine.

cut & pasted from another thread:

Lemon Drizzle Cake 9oz sugar 9oz butter 12oz s/r flour 4 eggs 3 level tsp baking powder 6 tblsp milk grated rind 2 lemons Mix all together. Put in lined tray. Bake about 30-40 mins (until knife comes out clean). Prick cake with fork and pour over some warm lemon juice (see below). Squeeze the juice from the lemons and heat (20 secs in microwave). Add icing sugar to consistency you like. Spread over cake

as to what to call it, I suspect that as long as we all know it was mars's recipe, there is no need for Joe Public to know
