Yes, 3 eggs is standard.

6-6-6-3

6oz of butter and caster sugar - cream together

Add three beaten eggs.

Fold in 6oz self raising flour.

Add a dash of milk to get the right consistency, and vanilla for flavour.

Bake in a hot oven for 25 minutes.

Oh a new VSC thread.

I do a version of AMerryScot's, but I weigh the eggs and use their weight for the flour sugar and butter.

After much experimentation (see NaeDangers link) I put them it at 160 (conventional) for 20-25 mins. Too hot and you'll end up with lippage
