MNWI -- Holiday Season ???

Meridian · 19/11/2007 22:04

just wondering if there is anyone left of the MNWI that want to do something for the upcoming holiday/winter season. I assume most everyone will be baking, canning, bottling, roasting, broasting, mixing, toasting anyway. I just thought it might be an idea to share or have a contest if anyone is intrested.

Cali-I have just been looking at that actually, it looks lovely, I've never attempted jam, jelly marmalade or anything like that though my mom makes the best raspberry jam. i've made peanut butter cookies thats about it though as have been away in Idaho visiting my parents for 5 weeks.

yeah its good to be back in my own little house but it is a nice place where my parents are.. oh to be rich and have a home there as well so we have our own space for when i'm fed up of my parents. Had a good couple of days in seattle as well, got to do all the touristy stuff that we don't normally get to do. the sci-fi museum was fun and a ride the ducks tour which ds thought was brilliant but got a bit worried when the bus drove into the lake i still need to sort out pictures for it. still a bit jetlagged too. Going to fly to san francisco in the spring before going to idaho, as i miss northern california and have a few friends to meet up with. Excited to get to take ds to all my fav haunts.

I want to try and make peppers preserved in olive oil, you know what I mean? can't think of the proper name but my dad makes them all the time.

my dad's is more of an italian greek version depending on what he has in the house. i'm violently allergic to brocoli and sage, apparently that means i'm a witch.. the sage allergy not the brocoli, not sure what being intolerant to brocoli means, nothing good i'm sure!

right i'm going to bed now its late and i am freezing to death!

Hi laydeees. Glad you had a good trip Meridian - did you manage to get your Cinnabon fix?
Not sure what I will be making, other than the xmas cake (which has its own thread somewhere). , Decorate a cracker maybe?

Meridian · 21/11/2007 09:54
