ok so i made lovely tea for ds1 etc otday
fried chicken goujons in a batter of egg yolk milk and corn flour till crips

then egg fried rice and a sweet and sour sauce made of tomato kethcup vinegar cornflout and soy

i almost threw it at him

he lIKES ALL OF THOSE HTINGS btut eh sauce was "odd" and the meat was too chewy.

sigh

Ds2 (7) is like that. Things he likes he will suddenly refuse to eat "becasue it tastes funny" or "it's got a different sauce on it"

but i killed myslef ot make this knowing he likes lall this stuff

ds2 and I tucked into home-made spag bol today

ds1 had plain spaghetti, raw carrot sticks and chicken nuggets out of a packet

he likes tomato sauce, beef in beefburgers and cheese, but no way on this planet will he try bolognaise sauce.

I gave up making home-made chicken nuggets as too many miniscule variations in the mix of garlic, salt, herbs etc caused too much grief.

Iota have you tried passata instead of tinned toms?

it's not the smoothness that's the issue, it's the concept of mixed up food and wet food at that

perhaps I should just feed him on Iams
