Making a beef stew tomorrow - should I marinate the beef in wine tonight?

I'm going to to slow cook a beef stew tomorrow. Adding red wine and brandy.

Should I marinate the beef in some wine tonight, or would that be overkill???

Oh, no, not overkill, that sounds nice. But making the whole stew the night before and leaving it to marinate in itself might be even better. Stew usually tastes best the day after it's made. Depends on the recipe.
