We bake seedy cookies with half the sugar replaced by grated apples - less crispy but still works. Will dig out recipe if you are interested. Or banana bread, with raisins replacing some sugar, or carrot cake ditto.
(I guess I've only replaced sugar-from-a-bag with another form of sugar? Still it seems healthier ...) Or bread with nuts and raisins?
A lot less sugar there.

I made muffins without any sugar at all by mistake and they weren't bad.

Agree raisin bread or similar can be handy

Brilliant - thank you for your replies. Will definitely make those Spiced Oat Biscuits and the Oatcakes look great for cheese too! Yes please slng - I would LOVE the recipe for the seedy cookies - they sound fab!

It's Dan Lepard one-a-day cookies.
