ds is 12 mo, has been vomitting on and off since sat and is really washed out but seems to be getting better, have spoken to the dr who told me not to worry if he isn't eating but think he is getting his appetite back, just not sure what is good to give him. His all time favourites are cream cheese and yogurt but i guess they aren't great for a poorly tummy! Any ideas? Ta!
ps will also post this in "health" !

toast and crackers to start with. Very bland at first and plenty of fluids.

porridge and banannas?

My DD's poorly at the moment and she'll eat a bit of porridge and some bananna and that's about it.

carbs e.g. plain pasta, rice, toast, etc

olivo · 14/11/2007 14:31

toast and marmite, plain pasta, plain biscuits ?

BRAT: Bananas, Rice, Apples and Toast

Dry Rice Krispies are good, and keep the LOs entertained as they pick them up one-by-one.

When DS has had a bad belly, the one thing he will always have is porridge.
It's very filling too, so even if it's only a small amount it should give him a little boost. And it's quite a comforting food, I think.

Home made soup

Plain and dry stuff. As others have said - toast, crackers, plain rice and pasta. Then perhaps move onto wetter stuff like banana or grated apple and the like.

As a rule, I avoid all dairy until poop is back to normal, but I have no real reason for doing this so treat it as an old wives tale!!

Hope your ds is better soon.
