I seem to remember someone saying that you can freeze leftover red wine in ice cube trays so that you can use for cooking later. Is this right?

Nigella does.

Apparently. Usually just drink it all myself though!

yes (or you could just drink it! )

i've done it in ice cube trays

yip

although it doesn't freeze hard so if you want to use ice cube trays and pop them out into a bag (or even into whatever you're cooking later) that doesn't work brilliantly

if you freeze it all together in the one tub and only want a wee bit for a sauce or something, you can just spoon out a spoonful and pop rest back in the freezer

thanks - I would drink it only I'm 8mths pregnant! Had my one glass as I really fancied it yesterday and don't want to waste the rest of the bottle!
