Toffe?
carob?

Katymac · 05/11/2007 18:42

I melt about half butter to the amount of marshmallows (judging roughly by eye - maybe 4oz butter to 1 pkt marshmallows) melt gently then stir in Rice Krispies until stiff

Leave to harden

Katymac · 05/11/2007 18:44

I use the plain ordinary pink & white marshmallows that asda & Tescos & sainsburys all do

LadyOfWaffle · 05/11/2007 18:44

oh yum! Let me go text DH to bring back some supplies...

I was going to suggest marshmallows.

bonkerz · 05/11/2007 18:49

Carob is chocolate subsitute (not great imo)

You can add cocoa to the marshmallow cakes btw

Or if you 9yo is bored you can do a layer of chocolate marshmallow krispies, then a layer of plain marshmallow Krispies, the melt chocolate & ppour over the top
