If I cook extra rice tonight, can I freeze it and re-heat in the microwave when I don't have a kitchen next week?

TIA

Yes

yep.
don't squash it down into the container, though, and make sure there's not too much air/empty space above it, or the top layer of grains will dry out.
if you have a fast freeze option, that'll be even better
for some reason, pasta doesn't freeze as well, but cooked rice does.
do it as soon as it's cool, though, as rice can brew a nasty bug (memory fails me right now), so make sure you do it as soon as it's cool
repeat!
repeat!
just to be on the safe side.
the best option for reheating is to zap it in the closed container and use it up there and then - any left over - bin it
