Can I freeze this sauce?

I'm making a sauce for one of the dishes at my dad's wedding reception in a couple of weeks. Simple question - will I be able to freeze it? Ingredients are:

butter
onion
curry powder
flour
coconut milk
fresh chilli

Erm I would be a tiny bit anxious that it might 'curdle' once defrosted.

Could you try freezing a small batch, defrost then see ?

Good idea! Why didn't I think of that? It isn't a huge wedding (about 30 people for a buffet lunch) so it's not too big a task - I'd just like to get as far ahead as possible as it's ds's birthday 4 days before and dd2's 4 days after...
