I need to make a chocolate chilli cake.

I don't have a recipe, so shall probably just hoik one from the internet.

Does anyone have any great triumphs or disasters to share? A perfect recipe? Anything to be avoided?

Don't. Terrible abuse of chocolate.

Now chocolate with horseradish...that's a taste sensation.

chocolate and horseradish? Sounds... intriguing...

But it has to be a chocolate chili cake in this instance.

Chillies are an ancient tradition with chocolate, so it's not as wierd as you think!

I don't have a recipe, though... maybe try adding a pinch of pure chilli powder (no oregano or cumin!) to your usual recipe?

Have you found a recipe? How was it?

I've had chocolate and chilli, and it is - IMO - very disappointing. OTOH, I do put a little cocoa in all sorts of savoury dishes, including those with chilli, and it's a good flavour enhancer.

Chocolate and black pepper is also good.

I've not tried anything yet. Have found a couple of recipes I quite fancy though...

These look good for a party

This one uses fresh chilis, which appeals.

Not sure.
