Does anyone know where to get it? I can't find it in Sainsburys. If it is there, am I looking in the wrong section? (Nigella says it's best for fishcakes so thought I'd give it a try instead of breadcrumbs this time).

You can get it in Jewish shops.

I use it to coat fish - it looks like fine breadcrumbs, so you can easily make your own.

Is it the same as those big crackers, could I whizz one of those in the blender?

they sell it in waitrose, sainsbury's and jewish delis

look in the kosher aisle if they have one

don;t think whizzing up a matzoh cracker will be the same, the are so dry and brittle, you won;t get a nice smooth crumb

I wouldn't recommend whizzing the matzo crackers as you won't get the texture right as the meal is much finer

Most sainsburys do stock it - try the kosher section

if you live near a Jewish community their should be a local Kosher deli that will stock iy

there should be a local kosher deli that will stock it

i have no idea if my local Sainers has a Kosher section (excuse my ignorance). May make a trip to Gateshead, very large Jewish community.
