King prawns and smoked salmon fillet with a lime and pomegranate salsa - wine: Rose Prosecco

Beef wellington, pommes dauphinoise and asparagus - wine: summat from Bordeaux

Chocolate souffle with cream - wine: Orange Muscat

Cheese and biscuits - possibly with port and coffee

Yum - he's a lucky man.

Was thinking of doing beef wellington for our anniversary dins too.

SmartArseCoveredinCobwebs · 30/10/2007 15:56

Yummy!

Do you think you'll make it as far as pudding?!

littlelaPainAndTorture · 30/10/2007 15:58

We might have to take pudding upstairs...

"anniversary dinner"... think we had one of those once?!

Menu sounds fantastic.

TwigorTreat · 30/10/2007 16:13

i am seriously in awe of the wine per course menu ..

... did you mention food too though?

TwigorTreat · 30/10/2007 16:13

you need home-made truffles too

SmartArseCoveredinCobwebs · 30/10/2007 16:14

Oh, I was impressed with the wine, too. I'm fine at sorting food, but haven't a clue about wine. My veins are filled mainly with Macon Lugny.

TwigorTreat · 30/10/2007 16:14

you're making a souffle on your anniversary

perhaps a more robust dessert? you know in case you get sidetracked by something??

littlelaPainAndTorture · 30/10/2007 16:14

Oh bugger that! Beef wellie is from the local butchers, pudding is from Waitrose, I even bought (oh the shame!) pre-shucked pomegranate seeds

I am wondering where the course you drizzle over your body is?

Bundle · 30/10/2007 16:17

I'm so poncey I winced a tad over the asparagus, with it being out of season and all that

littlelaPainAndTorture · 30/10/2007 16:18

not the stilton

littlelaPainAndTorture · 30/10/2007 16:18

oh I know bundle, and it's from Thailand but I loooooove it

OP posts:
Bundle · 30/10/2007 16:19

and it makes your wee smell

TerrorMater · 30/10/2007 16:20

I think you are definitely going to need to 'take a break' in the middle of that meal...
