Please dont laugh I am making macaroni cheese but do I need to cook the macaroni before I pour the sauce over and put it in the oven or will it cook in the oven .
I have made it before but my minds gone blank must be pregnancy hormones

yes cook the macaroni first (you could add a chopped onion to the pasta as it cooks it works nicely .. particularly if you add tin of chopped toms to cheese sauce too)

awwww...yes def. cook the macaroni! otherwise it will be too chewy..lol...add some mustard to the cheese sauce it really brings out the flavour

cook the macaroni but make sure it is slightly under rather than over cooked as it will soften a bit with the liquid from the sauce

well you're wrong because it is actually the best way to cook mac cheese (onions in the pasta, tomatoes in the cheese sauce) so

the only good onion is a fried onion

roast onions are okay as well (particularly if they have sat underneath a big piece of meat for a few hours)

what about bolognese made with heinz tomato soup?

"bolognese" is another myth

its not that the onions are boiled ... its that they give a slight onionyness to the pasta and then you have them in the macaroni cheese too .. cheese sauce with mature cheddar and toms ... and it all bakes together and is so much nicer than bland macaroni cheese

anyway it's the way my mum made it .. so it must be right

may I just add .. tomato soup in bolognese sauce ... argggghhhhhhhh
