Emergency - Halloween cake ideas, please

DD's school told us today that we have to bring in Halloween cakes or biscuits on Wednesday for a cake sale. The only idea I had was to cover a plain sponge with white icing and then draw a cobweb and a spider on it. DH has just told me he thinks that's "boring". Needless to say, he has no ideas himself. Does anyone have a better idea (not too complicated, please!)?

OK this is what i did

Made a batch of fairy cakes
rolled out some white ready to roll icing and cut out circles using a plastic milk bottle top
put circles on top of each cake
used writing icing to ice 4 lines right over each circle crossing in the middle... and they really did look just like spiders I was VERY impressed with them, were very easy and would DEFINITELY do them again!

Thanks so much for the tip. I did something very similar - I used writing icing to draw spiders' webs, pumpkin faces and spiders. They look great.
