25g margarine, melt with a splash of milk (I use soy)Keep on a very low heat..
Gradually sieve in icing sugar and cocoa powder, stirring in each batch, till you get the constistency you want.
Pipe it or spread it or pour it, working quickly as it sets. Very yum!

bar of 70% cocoa chocolate. melt gradually in microwave. Stir in 1tbsp single cream.

thats it. I only do it once a year for DDs birthday. Exceptionally yum.

Easiest int heworld..I promise. Forget all these others...

150ml double cream
150g Dark cooking choc

Both in a bowl, over a pan of boiling water until melted, mixing frequently.

Put in fridge to chill, mix frequently (every 5-10mins) until consistency of butter.
Spread on cake.

The above quantitiyes are enough for a generous coating in the middle & top of a 8" cake.

Melt good quality choc gently and stir in sour cream.

Err... no no no - forget all the recipes but MINE! My one is a proper chocolate fudge icing, not a ganache. If a ganache was what you wanted, then melt dark choc and cream, but if fudginess was the idea, my one rocks. Kids love it... a little too much
