Help! Does anyone know the equivalent of 8 medium eggs in large?

I've just started this recipe and it specifies 8 medium eggs. I've only got large in and being a lazy sod on an economy drive, don't want to have to go out and buy mediums when I've got a big box of larges already in.

Can anyone advise? Would six do it, d'you reckon?

I would use 6

weigh them
a medium egg (in shell) is about 2oz / 50g
