Has anyone got a quick and simple way of making these???? - DS and DH eat fish but I'm veggie so I'm hopeless if not a bit scared of cooking fish - normally warming up fish fingers is my limit but I feel I should try a bit harder!!! (have some frozen salmon fillets lurking in freezer). Thanks from a fish challenged mum!!!

cook the salmon
make some mash

add a little chopped onion, seasoning

form into burger shapes, coat in flour, leave to firm in fridge for half an hour then shallow fry

Are you ok on cooking the salmon?

eitehr would be fine, I tend to cook mine in the oven, 18-22 mins @ 180

I steam mine in the pressure cooker - takes 4 minutes!

Ok - thanks both of you - I think I'll be brave and have a go tomorrow.

How did you get on?

My kids won't eat fishcakes but I love them! But they will eat the same fish/potato mix if I do stuffed jacket potatoes. Probably because they see me sprinkling grated cheese on top. They love grated cheese!

I made them on Saturday and DS loved them - hooray!!!!!. DH had them as well and thought they were pretty good - thanks all for your advice
