Need to brown the sausages first?

Just picked up a slow cooker today.

i do it without browning sausages first - taste ok

mine came out a bit funny - the sausage half disolved on the bottom leaving a honeycomb type thing - perhaps i needed more liquid

I did a lovely one last week with baked beans and brown sauce in it! There's a few slow cooker threads around if you fancy searching them!

It won't hurt you not to, but the sausages will look anaemic
