I finally got round to menu planning - well, for this week anyway, lol!

Might need some ideas for next week though - looking for inspiration.

So, what is on your menu plan this week?

For us:

Monday: chicken kebabs for DH/DD, pan friend scallops for me; served with a cous cous and avocado salad.

Tuesday: griddled salmon fillets in a green vegetable broth; side serving of basmati rice

Wednesday: pork (marinated in lime, sesame oil, soy, garlic and ginger) with stir fried vegetables and rice noodles. I will have a veggie/mushroom version.

Thursday: fillet steak, jacket potatoes and vegetables. I will have tuna steak I think.

Friday: pasta with chicken, red peppers and pesto; veggie version for me. Probably served with garlic bread.

I haven't planned for the weekend. On Saturday Dh and I are going to the races with his work contact. No plans for Sunday yet.

Bloody hell. You either loooove cooking or are trying to make life difficult.

FWIW we have about 10 dishes that we both like and have on rotation (more or less): e.g.
Oven baked fish, potatoes & salad, lancashire hotpot, roast dinner, curry, veggie lasagna (with quorn & veg or just veggies), penne all'arriabiata & salad, home-made pizzas (his speciality), stir-fry noodles with veg and/or veg & chicken /streaky bacon bits, omelette, salad & chips, coq au vin.

Obviously a bit less complicated by the fact that I have gone over to the dark side and now eat our four legged friends - so probably not offering you much in the way of inspiration. I do occasionally try to plan for the week ahead, but more as an attempt at budgeting and not buying extraneous stuff at the supermarket.

Anonymama - no, not difficult. OK, the marinating needs doing inadvance and yes, the jackets take an hour. The rest are really quick and easy. Yesterday and today's meals took 15-20 minutes max.
