sugar free stuff

Hi, does anyone know where I can get sugar- and salt-free baked beans?
I'm also on the lookout for salt-free stock/cubes.
My main search is for ready baby meal jars/pots (6months+) that don't have added refined sugar. All the big name brands have sugar. I'm amazed that I can't find this. I'm travelling to S.Africa in 2 weeks and would rather take ready meals than try and keep my home-made stuff fresh on a 12 hour journey!
Any tips/ideas very welcom.

Hi Inga
We took dd to SA for a month when she was 5 months old and I was horrified to see that all the jars of baby food ("Purity" it's called) had salt and sugar added - even the 4 month+ jars. You are wise to plan your baby's food before you go so good luck and I hope you're successful with your search.
Sorry, I didn't actually come up with the answer to your questions - (although I can't be certain but I have it in my head that Boots do) - but hopefully some encouragement helps!
Enjoy your holiday!

You could try the Sainsbury's free from range or some of the diet ranges may well be sugar free.

I think Whole Earth do some baked beans, but don't know if they are completely sugar and salt free. Large supermarkets stock them in their organics sections.

Have you checked out Baby Organix as they don't add sugar to their babyfood. The web site has a nutritional breakdown of all their products.

Have you looked in the organic ranges ?
Organix does not have sugar in its jars.
I buy low salt stock cubes from Marigold Swiss vegetable bouillon. I think organic baked beans are sugar free (fruit juice instead)... not sure if they are salt free.
For the sort if things you are looking for - you'd find it in an organic range

I have a friend with a dd who can't have any sugar at all and organic baked beans are ok for her. Not sure about salt content though.

Thanks all, that's given me a good starting point.

Wickedwaterwitch, the organic ones (Whole Earth) are good and babe likes them. Sweetened with apple juice and minimal salt content. Thanks.
