fishcakes...tinned tuna?

your best recipe for fishacakes, that do not fall apart and turn into some odd sort of fishy potatoey slurry in the pan!

i've got a recipe which says .5lb of fish, same of mashed potato, tbsp chopped parsley (or 1tsp if dried), 10z butter, salt & pepper. - mix fish, potato, seasoning, parsley together, add enough beaten egg to bind it, then shape into cakes, coat with flur & shallow fry.

I can't remember if I actually follow it precisely when I cook it - think I usually just make lots of mashed potato, and cook one of those packets of frozen cod or coley and mix up without bothering too much about weights. Just make sure potato isn't too sloppy. It's so easy too - I must make it again as it was very popular with dd and dp last time
