How long is a frozen turkey good for?

It's been there a while and it's taking up a whole basket in the freezer so it either has to go in the oven or the bin.

Well, we cooked the other half of our Christmas turkey about 4 weeks ago, if that helps! We had a great roast and then made the rest into curry and its back in the freezer!

ok so 12 months should be ok, what about 18? . I have a feeling it was bought for easter last year.
Do you think I would be able to tell once it's defrosted?

The little pictures on the inside of my freezer suggest 12 months, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to at least defrost it and think again then.

Have decided to chuck it out, just in case.

Thanks for your help
