Im sick of them watching tele for 2 days straight so thought i would keep them occupied for the weekend by having a baking weekend. I know how to make normal sponge cakes and rice crispie cakes but has anyone got any good recipies for things like biscuits or anything else adventurous? They cant contain nuts as ds1 is only 4 and i wont give him nuts incase of allergies. Thanks xxx

Try crazy wacky chocolate cake, it's really easy.

Sift one and a half cups of plain flour, 1 cup of caster sugar, 2 tbsps of cocoaand 1 tsp of salt into a bowl (use a teacup)

Mke five wells in the mix and add one of these ingredients into each 'hole'. 1 beaten egg, 1 tbsp vinegar (not malt), 5 tbsp melted butter or marg, 1 tsp bicarb, 1tsp vanilla essence. Cover whole mixture with a cup of water and mix together with a fork until smooth.

Put into a greased and lined cake tin, and bake at gas mk 4 for 20-25 minutes or so, check it's cooked with a skewer.
