What goes well with macaroni cheese ?

Trying to plan next weeks meals can't thin what to do with it

Garlic Bread
Salad
Jacket spud
On its own

in my mum's mac cheese recipe

you chop up an onion and chuck it in with the pasta as it boils

you add a tin of chopped tomatoes to the cheese sauce (made with a nice strong cheddar)

and green veg like brocolli goes well with it

some ham and salad?

I serve my macaroni "uncheese" with either loads of cherry tomatoes, halved, or a normal tomato and basil salad, with loads of garlic in it.

Or a mixed green salad.

Or broccoli! Anything vibrant and fresh.

Broccoli good, or green beans, or leeks.

I do mine topped with tomatoes and bacon.

Beetroot salad - honestly, beetroot goes amazingly well with macaroni cheese.

(I also have roast potatoes with it, but thats a shameful secret - it's carb heaven)

tomato ketchup

kale (lots in our garden)

Always stick sliced fresh tomatoes in mine,fills it out a bit and its scrummy.
