What is your ultimate comfort food?

Risotto - lovely, thick, gloopy mushroom risotto, with a TON of parmesan cheese in and on it!

Thick buttery toast and Marmite. Had that tonight.

I had baked potato with butterbeans tossed in chargrilled aubergine pesto, and a salad. Am now eating dark choc.

My comfort meal... mashed potatoes (garlicky) with a whole head of steamed broccoli. And hummous. Lots and lots of hummous.

Followed by my special vegan banana pancakes and chocolate sauce.

Ultimate comfort food (stand back Gordon Ramsay) large pile of mash, fried egg on top, beans on side. Baked, not green. Never green!

I would have this meal as my last on Death Row.

Yup. Mash and baked beans takes some beating. But you MUST want something green on the plate to make yourself feel more virtuous. Eg. a lettuce leaf.

Ooohh - I forgot sprouts - brussels sprout with mash and fried in loads of garlic and marg.

Ultimate comfort food has to be cottage pie with plenty of cheese on top and green beans on the side (h and rich gravy)

i had pan-roasted salmon with broccolli and pak choi with ginger, garlic and sesame seeds

but i really wanted macaroni cheese

really simple creamy/tomato/garlic/chilli spaghetti - small mountain of it

my absolute no-fail comfort food

roast beef and all the trimmings
steak and mash
pea soup
chips and fried egg
corn beef hash
fish finger butty.

I had Sainburys crispy chilli beef which is not as nice as M&S's.
