coco, the burlesque wonder cake

mooching along the Nigella site looking for a golden syrup recipe I found coco the burlesque wonder cake

now if this woman isn't an MNer she certainly should be

anyone made it ? am missing 3 ingredients otherwise I'd be trying it out now

ohhh it looks really really sweet ... too sweet?
using cakes to disguise fruit at the moment..

why in cups? thought that was american..

I am pausing to marvel at the name itself. Haven't got to the recipe yet.

What are cups in English measurements? And what size cake tin?

Have just read it out to colleagues at work and they have challenged me to make it and bring in to work.

I use cup measurements ... I thought everybody did , but then I am a kiwi and therefore american influenced in many areas ...

this does look exceptionally scrumptious and if I had light (or any) sourcream you can bet your bottom dollar (ha! there I go again) I'd be making it now!!

no photos are good for me ... nothing to measure it up against and I can tell DH 'Oh but it is supposed to look like that' (whilst picking off bits of burnt to crisp edges ...)
