I have just found a packet of Ainsley's couscous in the cupboard, but I seem to have thrown out the box it pbviously came in a pack of 2!

I know I need boiling water but can't remember how much or even what I did with it the last time!

i would "just" cover it, with boiling water, plop on a plate or some cling film to let it steam. when it's absorbed the water it should be cooked. you can do this in a pan of boiling water but i think that's a faff.

how big's your packet?

It's about an oz of water per oz of couscous.

You can add a stock cube to the water first if you like.

It'll still be fine to eat in the next couple of days.
I cover my cous cous with boiling hot veggie stock, a little olive/sesame oil, and sometimes chickpeas and smoked paprika/other flavours. Leave for about 10 mins or untill it has swelled and is tender. Enjoy...
