Yes, I'm nesting - any good freezer friendly recipes to share?

I am nesting madly and desperate to fill my freezer with simple healthy-ish meals for the post-baby period. Does anyone have any tried and testing recipes that will freeze well? We all eat pretty much anything.

I do a savoury crumble with grated cheese and weetabix. Or you can use grated cheese and crunched up crisps. Macroni cheese is another brilliant freezer meal...add tuna/chicken/boiled eggs/peas/pepper/sweetcorn/tomatoes ...put on top of mince bolognese for easy lasagne

PHWOAR! Bells2 - thanks for that info on the tomato jam. It sounds absolutely scrummy, and am going to try tomorrow if poss, as i think I have all I need to concoct.... except nice (or mice?) goats cheese tart, skewered chicken. Am sure I can cobble something together.
Big Thanks!

The day will come when no one is with you to help out and the tiddler has radar that picks up the minute spoon touches lip. Whatever you freeze, I'd make plenty of small quantities, of any gorgeous thing that you can a)get eatable in record time (b)cook/serve/eat with one hand. The microwave came in extremely handy, though some think they are the devil's work, obviously. Soup defrosts and starts simmering brilliantly fast in a pot anyway. Eat with a towel over baby (latched on, breathing) to catch hot drips. Nectar.

Agree with you, fish. I did this. I like your post.

Thanks so much everyone, I have made a vat of bolognaise, Bells' chicken and mushroom pies and fishcakes, plus a chili (with no chili in apart from the kidney beans in chili sauce that I use - dd loves it and dp adds chili oil to his!).

And it was dp's birthday so I made fudge AND nigellas Boston Cream Pie at the weekend.

Excuse me while I gently expire

Gosh Enid I wish my nesting was cooking instead of cleaning, cleaning and more cleaning. Have no interest in cooking right now, maybe its my lack of appetite.

Know what you mean, Joe, when I was last "nesting" a few years ago, I kept having to repaint white walls including the inside (?) of my airing cupboard. At 9 months preg I took all the wooden slats out and scrubbed them (why?) and just managed to fit into the cupboard to repaint the walls. I had to keep turning round in a circle on the spot.Thank goodness I will never have to do this again.
