Anyone know how to thicken a stew - urgent

Have some cornflour but not sure how to use it - do I just chuck a bit in?

Mix with a bit of boiling water to make a paste first - then chuck it in

mix it with a little water into a paste and add it then

mix cornflour and water to a runny paste - add little by little.

failing that - add gravy granuals!!!

If that fails a few porridge oats work too.

I use them a lot

Add pearl barley or some uncooked rice.
