Ds used to love olives when he was a toddler. Now he's a small boy he goes 'yee-uck'. And will only eat salmon at MIL's house. Still loves houmous, though, so I do keep some smug parent points.

actually, on my last pg I could only eat smoked salmon and cream cheese bagels for my lunch. I nearly cried when they closed the bagel bar close to my job. And wept with relief when I discovered that that bagel bar had closed because another one had opened. This pg can't stand the stuff!

ds had smoked salmon scrambled eggs on brioche at the New Angel yesterday ....& earl grey tea

Loads of children like smoked salmon and olives. Most children like anything salty. Then they get older and perceive something other than saltiness and go 'yuk'- more about olives than salmon, though. Almost every toddler I have seen exposed to olives likes them. Why is it at all a big deal?
