i am going to do a pasta bake for tea, using just pasta, tinned tomatoes, tuna and sweetcorn. do i put the pasta in dry and let it soak up the juices of the tomatoes, or cook the pasta first, then bake with the other stuff?

cook it first I think, but not too much.

I think the only pasta you can use dry is the lasagne that specifically says you dont need to precook.

Yes def cook it first, as it will soak up far more liquid than is contained in the tomatoes.

please put some tomato ketchup in it and drain the sweetcorn. It sounds like it may end up a little watery if you don't. You have 3 canned ingredients and they may need a little more of a boost or a blend to really get the most out of the flavours

would you consider sweating off some onions in olive oil in a pan and then adding the tomatoes with salt and pepper and a squeeze of ketchup and then putting in the tuna and sweetcorn and combining it with the cooked pasta before sprinkling it with cheese and putting it in a hot oven for 20 minutes?

that sounds better, although not the cheese. i am on slimming world diet, and have been a bit naughty these last few day, hence all the ingredients are free foods!
