dh has his allergies tested and came back with a big list of 'no-no's'. For the next few weeks he has to do an anti-candida diet - no sugar of any sort, booze/fruit too nor yeast. Also avoiding wheat & dairy. Oh, and red meat too. He's been doing really well and is nearing the end of week 3. His skin is clearer and he has lost weight (of course!) He's feeling good and I'd like to make something special for the two of us this weekend. ANy ideas?

It's his birthday next week - kids want to do a party for him. What on earth can i serve there? We will eat normally but what can i do that he can have?

yogabird, may be you need a list of things your DH is allowed and it will give you some ideas. I guess he is allowed veg, pulses, what else? youcan cook stew of different vegetables and pulses, you can roast vegies, stir fry. is he allowed rice? he can then have rice noodles with stir fry courgettes, carrots, red onions, red pepper, any other veg he likes. is he allwed eggs? you can make lovely Spanish omelete. you can also do a search on no sugar, fruit, wheat, diary, red meat and see what comes up. How about some roast chicken with roast vegies? Also turkey with different veg?

thanks fedda. Only just seen your post but we must be on the same wavelength. HAve just had stirfried chicken and lots of veg with lemon grass, thai green curry ish stuff and rice. It was delicious. Doing a roast tomorrow - chicken again, but hey, we all like it!

Weird but i enjoyed the meal and didn't feel at all bloated.
