Has anyone any feedback about Rick Stein's cookschool in Padstow?

My DH gave me a day's course for Xmas 2 years ago and just finally got time to do it. Just wondered if anyone had been or heard anything?
Worth the money?

I've just seen your message with no response. I've done it twice now - once 3 years ago and once about a month ago - first time with a friend and month ago a real treat break without ds - it was fab both times. It's a very slick operation and the food you cook is easy to re-create at home even if you're a novice - we've already cooked a couple of dishes for friends. It's quite a tiring day and you learn a lot.

The only thing you might not like is that you cook with a partner - so if you go on your own you may be with a stranger who could of course irritate the pants off you or you might really enjoy it - it's a lottery with that bit but people who went on their own did seem to get on fine - it's only a day after all.

But, the course is great and really recommend. If you stay in padstow find a good b & b and don't pay the high prices of the rick stein hotels. Also, if you want to go to one of the restaurants (St Petroc's is good) book well before you go even in winter as they get booked up.

Good luck
