How many eggs would you use along with the milk?

depends on age I guess but if they are all under 5 I would use 6 large eggs I think

DirtyGertiefromnumber30 · 18/09/2007 21:04

hmmm, 7? maybe 8?

RubberDuck · 18/09/2007 21:04

Hmm... I'd work on the basis of 1 egg per child I think... I use 5 or 6 eggs for 2 adults 2 small children for a light lunch and I tend to (optimistically sometimes with my two!) view child portions as roughly half an adult.

Trinityrhino · 18/09/2007 21:04

hmmm dunno actually, I'm talking from the point of ciew of never having had a chiild that really wants to eat and never eats much at one time...

Tottie32 · 18/09/2007 21:04

maybe 1.5 eggs each

Lio · 18/09/2007 21:04

Hi nlnn, I would say 6, and join in with gusto if too much for them

ChasingSquirrels · 18/09/2007 21:05

ds2 (19mo) has 1.
ds1 (nearly 5) would probably have 2, but he has decided he doesn't like them anymore.
6 would probably be enough for 5 kids.

notnowbernard · 18/09/2007 21:06

1 each

LyraBelacqua · 18/09/2007 21:07

I'd allow about 1.5 per child if they're under 5, maybe 2 each if they're older.

newlifenewname · 18/09/2007 21:08

Hi Lio

I'm hoping that you've read my thread. I had an email from L who feels bad and wants to know what the feck I'm doing but I can't honestly reply and say that being left of the Gestalt group list wasn't contributory and I'm bad at lying so I can't talk to you, any of you

Children having egg are 3, 4, 6 and 7

depends if they like scrambled egg or not

i would do it as 1.5 each, that way any youbger ones can have less and older or more hungry children can have more

Reason for asking is because I'd have said 5 but friend said at least 6. I made it so used 5 and lots of milk and was just enough. Now, her children are overweight and mine are very slim and I'm wondering if I don't feed them enough.

Before we decided on egg we were thinking of using some pasta bake ready meals I had in on standby and I would have used one adult pack for all my 3 children topped up with garlic bread or soemthing and she was saying will 2 adult packs be enough, which surprised me. That is a lot of food!

Was half joking about not talking to anyone but I am sort of in hiding from my life

nlnn

your stuff is much more intersting

plainsailing · 18/09/2007 21:15

Maybe she meant for the two of you to have a bit as well? I couldn't cook scrambled eggs for the dch without allowing myself a mouthfull! (As at children's parties, I always make extra for the parents!)

Tottie32 · 18/09/2007 21:16

i am sure if your kids were hungry they would tell you, mine do, but they bith eat tottally differently

newlifenewname · 18/09/2007 21:17

She's on Weight Watchers trying to get down from a size 18/20 and failing so she refuses all food at mine until I get Chocolate Brownies out
