Hi - I would like to buy DP a coffee maker for his birthday but don't know the first thing about them and a quick glance at a few websites has left me feeling even more lost!!

I'd like it to make cappuccinos, lattes etc as well as normal coffee - do they do that? (I just read something about not enough steam). Obviously something that's reliable and easy to use!

Any advice would be gratefully received, and feel free to explain as if I'm 5!!

thanks

we've got a nesspresso machine. very good apparantly ( dont drink coffee) loads of friends have tried ours then bought one!!! its capsules only, ordered on the internet ( down side) but there are about 12 reg types and the they do specials. but it is very clean ++++ no messy coffee around. plus coffe should be used within a week of griding. capsules workout at about 24-25p each which is comparable to good quality coffee.
